Transfer Station

The Transfer Station is available for East St. Paul residents only. Contractors are not permitted to use the transfer station.

As of January 2025, an Access Card is now required along with photo ID. You must present both to the attendant for scanning. Photocopies of the card or photo on a mobile device are not accepted.

Please click HERE for more information about the Access Card program. If you have lost your Access Card, you may contact our Operations Department for a replacement card (fee is $20). Only 1 Access Card per household will be allowed. For a replacement card, please email: operations@eaststpaul.com


The Transfer Station accepts Cash only. 

Fees for disposal of household waste:

Equivalent of 5 bags or less$10
6 bags up to a 200 cubic ft. trailer $25
Level one ton truck$70
Appliances with ballast, capacitor, or refrigerant present (ex. fridge & freezer, air conditioner)$35
Toilet$10
Single Mattress$10
Mattress & Box Spring$25
Carpet & Underlay$10 - 25 (depending on amount)
Furniture Fees vary according to quantity

 WE ACCEPT FREE OF CHARGE:

  • Scrap metal
  • Recyclable materials
  • Dried paint cans
  • Tires with or without rims
  • Appliances (dishwasher, washer, dryer, stove)
  • Brush (bushes, trees etc.)
  • Organic yard waste (grass, leaves, garden materials, wood chips and straw)
  • Hot water tank
  • Bbq (without propane tank)
  • Lawnmowers (all fluids must be removed first)
  • Ballast

  • Building materials (shingles, dimensional lumber, drywall, insulation etc.)
