Seniors Club

The East St. Paul Seniors' Club meet twice a week in their building at 262 Hoddinott Road and invite all seniors in the Municipality to come out and join them. On Tuesday and Friday afternoons from noon to 4:00 PM the Club House is open for cards, shuffleboard, darts, pool, visiting or reading--there's even an on-site library.

The five dollar yearly membership fee entitles seniors to participate in any of the club activities which may include, from time to time: day trips, bingo, whist drive, Christmas parties, line dancing, pot luck suppers and the Saturday night socials held every second Saturday. The suppers cost $3.00 per person and always include some social activity following the meal.

A general membership meeting is held once a year to elect officers and solicit input from the members on the types of programs they would like to have. However, the president is very receptive to suggestions throughout the year and discussions are held regularly by the executive committee.

The East St. Paul Seniors' Centre was officially opened on May 3, 1992 and is fully equipped with couches, chairs, TV and VCR, a kitchen with large range, refrigerator, and dishwasher.

In the past, the seniors have hosted an annual spring tea but will not be having one this year. They would like to encourage new members to come out, take a look at the facility, meet some of the other seniors in the area and see what the club has to offer.
