Hazardous and Electronic waste day big success

East St. Paul’s Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste Roundup held on Saturday was a big success.

A total of 477 vehicles came to 2025 Camsell Ave., the former public works site, to drop off their hazardous waste and old electronics during the four-hour event.

Mayor Shelley Hart said it was a terrific day and she’s glad residents of East St. Paul, and West St. Paul, came out and diverted so much material from landfills.

East St. Paul and West St. Paul hosted the event together and staff from both municipalities worked together at the collection site. Staff from Health Canada was on site as well giving tips about maintaining a healthy home.
