ESP Public Works employees keep a steady workflow, to make sure the water will flow

Posted: March 28, 2017

The rise and fall of temperatures earlier this year created a potentially serious overland flood concern for RM Public Works employees, but their hard work and dedication has reduced that concern to a trickle.

Warm January temperatures thawed some water in ditches and culverts, and then when it inevitably returned to normal colder weather, ice became frozen in culverts throughout the RM.

East St. Paul Public Works staff worked for 18 days straight to clear ditches and steam ice out of culverts, and now, risk of overland flooding has been greatly minimized.

Congratulations to Shawn Tosh and the Public Works staff on a job well done.
