Centennial Plaza Survey: Your Community-Your Voice

Posted: February 2, 2017

Your Community - Your Voice

East St. Paul’s Centennial Plaza, a project in commemoration of the Municipality’s 100th anniversary, received a significant funding boost this past week.  The Government of Canada delivered a grant of $319,000.00 towards the Plaza from the government's Legacy Fund, which has a mandate to help communities build arts and heritage projects.

In addition to the $319,000.00, $32,500.00 has been gifted to date from local residents and business owners through the Municipality’s community sponsorship wall, $30,000.00 from the Provincial Government - Manitoba Community Places Program, and the Municipality is committed to contributing $448,000.00 from its Capital Budget.

A community open house was held on February 3, 2016 to gather initial ideas and feedback for the Plaza, but we want more feedback now that we have received this grant.

The online community forum will provide you with the opportunity to share what features you would like to see included in the Centennial Plaza.  Do you want a canopy covered stage for concerts, a place to play board games, an area to ice skate in the winter, etc.?
Click HERE to register and participate through our online community forum.

The survey closes on Friday, February 17, 2017.
