Province Announces PTH 59 - PTH 101 Interchange Construction Project

At a formal announcement today in East St. Paul, Premier Greg Selinger officially announced the PTH 59 – PTH 101 Interchange Construction Project. The design build construction contract, valued at just under $204 million, was awarded to Flatiron Construction Canada ltd., a leading North American bridge and highway construction firm. Starting in summer of 2015, the project is scheduled for completion in 2018.  
East St. Paul Mayor Shelley Hart along with Councillors Brian Duval and Charles Posthumus attended the event.  Mayor Hart echoed the comments of many today stating, "We are very glad to have this project underway.  The new interchange at Highway 59 and 101 and upgrades in the area will improve safety and traffic flow for all motorists in the capital region.”
