East St. Paul Receives Two Grants from the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program

On July 28, 2015, MP Joy Smith (Kildonan – St. Paul) announced East St. Paul was the recipient of two grants under the newly created Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program which helps fund renovations, expansions and rehabilitations to existing infrastructure that provides community and cultural benefits for the public.

The two grants East St. Paul received will be used to:
  • Upgrade the Recreation Complex sign at 266 Hoddinott Road to include an LED reader board ($25,000)
  • Install a dock at the boat launch in Hyland Provincial Park, 2950 Henderson Hwy ($9,500)
Both of these projects will commence in the spring of 2016.
East St. Paul Mayor Shelley Hart, who was in attendance at the announcement, said "Recreation and leisure are key components to a healthy and vibrant community.  The grants announced today will enable these projects to move forward, improving existing infrastructure and opportunities in East St. Paul.”
