Posted: March 23, 2015

On Saturday, March 14, the East St. Paul Curling Club hosted their 3rd annual Presidents Fundraising Dinner.
The evening included guest speaker Reid Carruthers (West St. Paul Curling Club), who in 2011, as a member of the Jeff Stoughton Manitoba men’s team, won gold at the World Championships in Regina SK.
East St. Paul Mayor Shelley Hart brought greetings on behalf of the municipality and reiterated Council’s commitment to improving recreation opportunities and facilities in ESP.  St. Paul MLA Ron Schuler brought greetings on behalf of the Province of Manitoba.

The ESP Curling Club has been a fixture in our community since 1958 and has provided years of recreation opportunity and developed many outstanding curlers. One such curler is the current President of the club, Kim Link.
Kim’s team won the 2015 Tim Horton’s Senior Women’s Provincial championship in Killarney this year and is in Edmonton AB the week of March 21 – 28, competing in the 2015 Everest Canadian Senior Women’s Curling Championships.
We wish Kim, Karen, Janice and Allyson the best of luck at the tournament.
