Opening of newly created Rothesay St to Foxgrove Ave
Posted: December 18, 2014
Dear Resident of Foxgrove Avenue:
The RM of East St. Paul wish to advise the residents of Foxgrove Avenue of the opening of Rothesay Street connecting to Foxgrove Avenue. As part of the Development Agreement for the Countryside Crossing Subdivision, the Developers where required to construct a connection from Rothesay St. to Foxgrove Ave., providing a secondary/emergency access.
On a temporary basis, barricades were placed across Rothesay St. at Foxgrove Ave. preventing any access or regress to the subdivision. With the combination of the amount of occupied houses, uncontrolled intersection at Henderson Highway and Maxwell King Drive and the need for a secondary access for emergency vehicles, the RM has decided to remove the temporary barricades and open the roadway to residential traffic only. This will take place the week of December 22, 2014. The roadway is signed and designated a non truck route, as well additional signage has been installed to remind contractors that no construction traffic is permitted to exit or enter on Rothesay St. The developer has notified all the builders/contractors that they are not permitted to use this access. In addition, the RM will increase the monitoring of the area with by-law enforcement officers and issue tickets as necessary.
Should you require any further information or require any clarification, please do not hesitate to contact the municipality at 204-668-8112 Monday to Friday during normal office hours between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
RM of East St. Paul
