Aquatic re-vegetation in Eagle Creek pond set for June 24-July 15

Posted: June 24, 2021

This week the RM of East St. Paul will resume aquatic re-vegetation work in Eagle Creek pond that originally began in 2020.

Work will start June 24th and continue until July 15th.

The RM worked with a contractor to install vegetation along the pond shoreline as part of the Eagle Creek/Texaco Drain Project last year. Additional shoreline naturalization and re-vegetation opportunities have been identified and will begin this week.

The approved plan and budget for the additional 2021 naturalization work within the Eagle Creek pond system will include enhancing wetland vegetation in shallow marsh zones, planting aquatic vegetation such as cattail and seeding with native grass species within upland areas.

-          Contractors: BNM Work Inc. and Ecological Restoration Services

-          Work will take place along the shoreline of ponds 1 to 6

-          Please keep a safe distance from contractors and equipment
