Grow a Row for ESP's Garden Challenge

While we are sad that Communities in Bloom will not be running for 2020, the RM has partnered with Winnipeg Harvest on Grow A Row so that we can all make the community a little greener and support those in need.

The RM challenges you to join with us and grow a row - of beets, carrots or potatoes for Winnipeg Harvest this year.  Winnipeg Harvest supplies over 300 food banks across the province and gratefully accepts produce donations. Locally, there are food banks in Selkirk and Beausejour.

To make it easy we will coordinate drop off points in the RM for Harvest to pick up towards the end of the season.

Donating is especially important now during this global pandemic when food banks have seen a decrease in donations.

If you plant a vegetable garden and can spare some produce, please consider donating to the Garden Challenge.

No veggie garden?  No worries – think how great a row of carrot tops or beets would create a stunning background for your annuals!  Looking for some greenery to fill in that planter, look no further than the potato, with its lovely green foliage, it would make a smashing addition to any planter!

C’mon East St. Paul, let’s see how many pounds we can raise!
