Ready to bloom!

ESP Communities in Bloom Committee

The Communities in Bloom Committee is well under way with Spring and Summer plans.

The committee consists of RM staff and 4 volunteers from the community. Our purpose is to assist in enhancing the beautification of East St. Paul, increase awareness of environmental efforts and bring the community together as a whole.

Some plans in place include:

Pre-Summer Clean up with Birds Hill School – June 7th at 3:15pm

Yard of the Week – Submission entries open: July 1 until August 30

Garden Tour – Mid July – Exact date and times to be determined

Assist Robert Andrews School in creating flower boxes

Assist Dr. Hamilton School in creating a compost program

Re-planting the Maple Leaf Garden at Memorial Park

Re-planting the Pollinator Garden at Memorial Park with the kids from ‘Sky is the Limit’ Montessori School

Numerous environmental action workshops/Q&As at the Farmers Market

(Backyard Composting, Creating Pollinator Gardens, Recycle Everywhere Street Team & more)

Arbor Day at the Farmers Market – Sunday, September 15th

Sponsorship Opportunities

We are always looking for sponsors to go towards various projects within the community through monetary donations or supply donations! (Ex. Soil, gloves, flowers, etc.)

Sponsors receive recognition in monthly newsletters, Municipal notices, the CiB Profile Book, & physical signage. (Depending on sponsor package)

If you want to beautify your own business, we also have a sponsorship opportunity where you can receive 1-4 floral arrangements to be placed in front of your business. We create them, drop them off early summer and pick up at the end of summer.
All we ask is that you maintain the arrangement throughout the season. BUT duties are low as we create these wonderful arrangements in self-watering planters for your convenience!
