Spring Clean Up a Big Success

Spring Clean Up a Big Success

Students at Robert Andrews School and some wonderful community volunteers took their spring-cleaning outdoors recently and picked up trash in three areas in the municipality.

Approximately 200 students, along with community volunteers, RM staff and Communities in Bloom committee members picked up litter along Hoddinott Road, in the Farmers Market site and at the Rec Complex.

Prior to the pick up, the RM’s new Climate Change Adaptation Coordinator Leanne Shewchuk, spoke to the students about the proper way to pick up litter.

The spring clean up was a big success. A big thank you to the students, all the volunteers who came out, Take Pride Winnipeg – for providing bags and gloves – and the RM and Communities in Bloom Committee.
