Thanks for giving to 2018 Hamper Drive

Abundant Life Lutheran Church Christmas Hamper Drive coordinator Jennifer Jantz says the community came together once again this year to make sure everyone could enjoy the Christmas season.

More than 40 local businesses supported the Hamper Drive and 62 hampers were put together for families in St. Clements, East St. Paul and Springfield.

"The community was exceptionally supportive," Jantz says.

The hampers helped 130 adults and 111 children, 63 who were 10 years old or younger, have a Merry Christmas.

Jantz says money donated to the Hamper Drive purchased 620 pounds of potatoes, 310 pounds of carrots, 189 pounds of onions and 225 pounds of oranges, among other things.

Jantz thanked the community businesses and individuals for all their help, noting there were volunteers from East
St. Paul, West St. Paul and St. Clements who helped
make the program a huge success.

Generous people in East St. Paul, as well as West St. Paul, St. Clements and
Springfield, donated mountains of food and plenty of cash to help make the Abundant
Life Lutheran Church Christmas Hamper Drive a success this year.
Above, Kim Hartikainen and son Brady Zaluski pitch in.
