RED RIVER PLANNING DISTRICT
Municipal News:  Right from the Start

Planning a project can be tough when you don’t know where to start. The Red River Planning District is ready with answers to your questions, starting with what projects require permits, what you need to apply and how permits protect you.

A key partner in the permit process, RRPD administers the development plan, zoning bylaws and building bylaws for the Rural Municipalities of St. Andrews, St. Clements, East St. Paul, West St. Paul, the City of Selkirk and the Village of Dunnottar.

"We don’t want anyone’s projects to be delayed – or worse, have to be rebuilt – because our communities’ guidelines were misunderstood,” said Jennifer Ferguson, RRPD’s executive director.

You can find the latest resources from RRPD at www.redriverplanning.com, including:
  • An all-new FAQ with answers to the questions we hear most
  • New videos with permit information for popular home improvement projects
  • Ask the Expert columns in the Selkirk Journal
Stop by with your questions, or just to say hello!

You can also contact the RRPD offices at info@rrpd.ca or (204) 482-3717 or toll-free at
1-800-876-5831.

Office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
