Birds Hill School students and Mayor Hart

pitch in to clean up East St. Paul

There were 160 of the community’s finest out on the afternoon of Friday, May 25th picking up what others had thrown down in East St. Paul.

Students and teachers from Birds Hill School spent a couple hours collecting trash in their schoolyard, on the Hoddinott Pathway and down the Raleigh Street Corridor as part of a Spring Clean Up to support Communities in Bloom.

Mayor Shelley Hart joined the students in their efforts to help     beautify the community.

"It was a lot of fun joining the students this afternoon, picking up litter.  Their commitment to the clean up was remarkable and they had a lot  of fun in the process,” said Mayor Hart.  "It was surprising just how much trash was recovered.”

Students from Robert Andrews School were scheduled to do a Spring Clean Up on May 18, but it was cancelled due to rain. It will be rescheduled.
