Administration & Finance Department

The Administration Department is located in the Municipal Office at Unit 1 - 3021 Birds Hill Road. The Administration Office is the responsibility of the Chief Administrative Officer, who has five full-time office staff to assist in the various duties assigned to their department.

- to consider and report on all matters relating to the operation and governing of the Municipality including all accounting functions, employee relations, all administrative functions as related to the entire Municipality;
- to recommend to Council all essential projects, work and matters to be carried out during the year, together with a detailed estimate of the costs;
- to prepare an operating budget, capital budget, an estimate of operating revenues and expenditures and a five-year capital expenditure program;
- to consider and report to Council on all matters relating to the implementation and adherence of municipal resolutions and by-laws.
It is also the responsibility of the CAO to ensure that the by-laws, minutes and all other records and books of account are kept safe; to prepare and collect taxes and utility bills; to respond to inquiries from the public, staff and Council; to schedule all meeting of Council; to administer the payroll for thirty-nine staff; and to ensure that authorized expenditures are paid and that money belonging to the municipality is deposited in the appropriate financial institutes.
